8 Hours                                             50 Miles

Marathi is located in the Bay of Souda on the south-east of the peninsula of Akrotiti. Its one of the few beaches of northern Crete that faces south. There are two beautiful sandy beaches with clear blue waters, both protected by winds, very popular in the locals. Seitan Limani – also called the “Paralia of Saint Stefanou” – is on the eastern coast of the Akrotiri peninsula. Translated into English, Seitan Limania means the “Port of Satan”  a name that makes you wonder why this site with the striking beauty was given such a name. In the northern cove a tiny fantastic beach is shaped, with fine pebbles and sand and deep azure waters. This spectacular beach was not very popular until recently but is  one of the most beautiful places on Earth! Stavros beach, also known as Zorbas beach from the old greek movie Zorba The Greek, starring Anthony Quinn is a dreamy circular sandy cove and an excellent spot for relaxing holidays and a popular summer destination. Located at the northernmost edge of Cape Akrotiri, there is formed a semicircular lagoon fully protected by winds, with white sand and shallow turquoise water. The mountain that surrounds the lagoon with the peaceful beach make Stavros a unique place to swim. Maherida Beach is a very small but one of the prettiest beaches in northeast of Chania. It’s a hidden stunning beach in a rocky bay with white sand surrounded by crystal turquoise water that feels like paradise. Suitable for all categories of people, perfect for relaxation, Maherida Beach is a sweet escape providing isolation in a natural peaceful sunny environment.
